No, support packages are entirely optional. Since GeriLife is open-source, technically proficient organizations can use our self-service resources (documentation, community forums, and GitHub) to manage their implementation. Support packages are available for organizations that want additional assistance or don't have in-house technical resources.

Can I change my support package as our needs change?

Absolutely! You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your support package at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. This flexibility allows you to adjust your support level as your team becomes more familiar with the platform or as your organizational needs evolve.

How does billing work if our resident count changes?

We understand that resident counts fluctuate naturally. You can update your resident count at any time, and your bill will automatically adjust in the next billing cycle. We don't charge any fees for these adjustments, as we believe your pricing should reflect your actual needs.

How exactly does the pricing calculation work?

Our pricing has three transparent components that combine for your total monthly cost:

  1. Per-resident fee: €5 per resident per month.
  2. Optional support: Choose from Self-Service (free) to Enterprise (€300/month) based on your needs.

For example, a care home with 35 residents selecting Standard support would pay: €175 (residents) + €50 (support) = €225/month.
